Market was turnt up for me today. Much better than the last few. Glad to say that streak is over. Main reason was a good short after a seeking alpha article came out. Was a really bearish article and got in on the action. Took a little for it to pick up momentum, but when this thing moved it moved fast. Little bit of short covering 20 min to close, but ended where I wanted. Nice gainer for me since I shorted it. Feels like the first time in a while I was on the right side of one of these moves. Did not sell the other positions I was looking to. They didn't move much, and pretty much any movement was in my favor so left it alone. Still monitoring and tomorrow should be crazy with recent market moves and FMOC. Will cover my short, but will probably end up letting my longs go on. First to cover will be HPJ, this hardly moved today, uncharacteristic of it.
WTER - used a daytrade on this. Thing got absolutely smoked early on and I bought after it had bottomed. Got out for a little gain, it started to spike 30 min after I got out. Could have been 30% winner. Sold for about 10, and happy with gain.
BIOF- this is the short I talked about up top. Seeking alpha hit piece took it down. Looks to continue and am hoping for a morning panic. Plan to cover tomorrow and sometime before Yellen's talk. Not sure how market will act so will lock in gains there. Got in around 8.10 and closed around 7.40. Good start and hopefully continues tomorrow.
VTNR- breakout play that Tim alerted. He also covered some of his position right as I entered last few minutes of market. Figures I would time my buy for him, oh well. Didn't look like too many people followed on the covering. Hoping for gap up, and small gain. Will monitor closely tomorrow at open, maybe even sell if up in premarket. Will try to put limit order in tonight and hope it hits tomorrow morning.
Will spend tomorrow morning watching VTNR, BIOF, and HPJ closely. Then trying to monitor my other positions. Finally have a chance for 2 consecutive up days in overall market. Lets see what Yellen has to say.
