Market still bleeding everywhere. Indexes didn't get hit too hard today but it is being supported heavily by big companies. They have been holding up the fort. People fleeing the small caps and putting that money into large caps. How long will they stay proped? Markets look better on paper than they feel is main point. This trend continues as market indecisive on direction. Will try to keep my recaps short, so you can quickly view my activity.
OH account.
Bought SEV- got smacked down due to earnings, which were good. Future looks bright for them and I got in pretty cheap. Old support looks to have held. Low float stock but I'm looking for a quick 10%+ win.
IB account.
Sold ENSV-sold at open. Got a little spike right after I sold, but oh well. Only gained a few pennies, so didn't gap but had early run. Didn't use a day trade, which is main idea behind these gapper ideas. Should have gone with Nate's idea in chat. That one ran more and was in play today.
Daytrade on P- (short) was underwater for a little, but put stop at good location. Something I learned from Nate's DVD. Ended up getting stopped out, when I moved it to make sure I had a profit. Little later it hit my price target. Had I held would have been bigger win. Not something I should worry about. Better to worry about recognizing pattern and trends.
Bought ATSG - was an earnings winner and had a little run today. Tim alerted this in the afternoon, but also sold his position. I bought right at close and hoping for a premarket gap. Will try to put a sell order in before after hours is over and hope for pre market hit. And if not will be watching opening 10 minutes for a move.
Have been really impressed with investorsunderground so far. Nate's DVD has some good information in it and has made me go about my risk a different way. One I think I can be more disciplined in. He is also available during the day and responds to all my questions. Helped give me some guidance and another thing to look at during my P trade.
